Deborah Oberon  - Founder and Proprieter

Deborah and her partner Paul moved to Denmark to escape the hurly-burly city life they were leading and to search for community and communal living alternatives. They have three sons who were all born at home.

Deborah began Elemental Skin Care with a friend in 1995.  Her goal was to create a range of organic skin care products that are sold at realistic and affordable prices. She loves living in Denmark and is keen to see the business grow to provide real employment opportunities for locals, and to find ways for the business to partner community development initiatives.

 

Jodie Quicke – Sales and Marketing Manager

Jodie and her partner David and son Raine, currently live in Cookernup where Jodie manages the distribution and marketing side of the business. Well- versed in naturopathy and aromatherapy, she is a passionate advocate for wholistic health and skin care.

 

Annie Symes – Operations Manager

Annie joined the business in 2005 to take over the production side of the range.  Bringing to the plant her expertise in practical systems development, she runs a tight ship when it comes to quality control!  Annie and her partner Glenn are keen surfers who love the lifestyle that Denmark provides.

 

Nikki le Breton – Administration Manager

Deborah’s sister Nikki joined the business in response to Deborah’s desperate pleas for help.  Having undergone NASAA certification for the range, complicated administrative systems needed to be implemented to maintain it.  Nikki is the queen of administration and no corner of the business remains disorganised!
Nikki and her partner Peter and 2 sons moved to Denmark in 2003 to enjoy the unique lifestyle Denmark has to offer.

The creation of any business seems to rely on nothing less then alchemy. It is a labor of love, an excruciating journey, an arduous and difficult path, sometimes an impossible dream and often a process that is only completed through sheer bloody mindedness! For Elemental, the continued successful negotiation of this journey has only been possible with the constant and ongoing support, encouragement and expertise of a large number of people too numerous to name!
